The Range
An environment built for discovery, data, and decision-making clarity.
Why You Need The Range
In golf and in life, we often try to fix our results before we understand our inputs. We change our swing, buy new equipment, or try to force ourselves to be more disciplined. However, most performance issues aren’t caused by a lack of skill. They are caused by “internal noise”—the mental habits and stress patterns that distract us from what is actually happening.
The Range is a structured sequence designed to help you see that noise clearly. It is a surface for observation, not a place for quick fixes. By moving through our two-phase system, you move away from guessing and toward a cleaner, more focused state of play.
Phase 01: Using The Range for Discovery
The first step in any meaningful change is a snapshot of “what is true right now.” This is where you begin. In this phase, there is no cost and no judgment. You are simply externalizing your thoughts. By getting your internal frame out of your head and into a structured format, you reduce the weight you are carrying before you even step onto the first tee.
Start the Caddie ReadMost users find that simply completing the Read provides immediate relief. It creates a “boundary” around your thoughts, allowing you to see patterns you didn’t know were there.
Deep Work in The Range
For the practitioner who requires more than just a snapshot, we offer the Large Range Bucket. This is our paid, structured depth-session. While the initial Read is about broad discovery, the Bucket is about high-resolution data. It captures the exact language you use when you are under pressure and identifies where your decision-making starts to break down.
When you enter this phase of **The Range**, you are no longer just looking at your thoughts—you are analyzing the framework they sit in. This is how you begin to separate your “nature” (who you are) from your “programming” (the habits you’ve picked up over time).
The Caddie Index™ at The Range
Once your session in the Large Range Bucket is complete, your data is processed through the Caddie Index™. This is a proprietary tool that turns your words into a measurable score of mental clarity.
Think of the Caddie Index™ as a “handicap for your mind.” It doesn’t look at how well you hit the ball; it looks at how much “drag” or “friction” you are creating for yourself. By tracking this over time, you can see exactly how much progress you are making in clearing out the mental clutter that gets in the way of your best performance.
Signal vs. Noise
We identify which of your thoughts are useful (Signal) and which are just habits of stress (Noise). The Index™ gives you a ratio so you can focus on what matters.
Load Management
Every decision has a “cost.” The Index™ calculates your current cognitive load so you know when you have the capacity to take on more, or when you need to simplify your game.
Proprietary Metric
The Caddie Index™ is unique to the CaddieWithin system. It is a benchmark you can use to measure your growth across every season of your life and play.
